Word Wave Festival

The Word Wave Festival is a significant Huashan 1914 Creative Park project. It aims to reinterpret the relationship between reading and life through “reading aloud,” thereby promoting the public’s passion for reading, enhancing the development of the publishing industry, and further reaching international boundaries.

In 2016, the Word Wave Festival’s theme, “# I’m_ReadingAloud,” used contemporary social language to connect people. It created a city built on reading aloud, breaking the limitations of the real world. Reading aloud has no boundaries, only the continuous awakening of imagination and curiosity. This internalized reading aloud into the imaginative space of the mind constructs a future city where books and people coexist.
